*Was baptized on August 9, 1959, an event in which he was claimed, chosen, forgiven, blessed, graced and accepted by God of Amazing Grace

*Was nourished in the faith through three congregations: Reformation (Washington, D.C.), St. John’s (Rockville, MD) and St. Paul’s (Mountain Top, PA)

*Received his degree in biology and environmental studies in 1981 from Thiel College (Greenville, PA)

*Served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 1981-1983 as a fish farming extension officer in Jamaica

*Married Ann Seitz-Brown in 1984 and is the father of CJ (21), MaryBeth (17), and Jeremy (13)

*Received his Master of Divinity from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia (1987)

*Was ordained on June 14, 1984 and has served, in addition to Paradise: Good Shepherd (Easton, PA), Bergstrasse (Ephrata, PA) and the Manow Lutheran Junior Seminary (Konde Diocese, Tanzania)

*Wrote a song titled “Loved People, Love People”

*Learning how to “keep the Main Thing, the Main Thing” (= God’s amazing love and grace)

*Rooting for the Redskins to win the Super Bowl

*Trying to rig the “house rules” in ping pong so that he can pull off a few upset victories against the other Seitz-Browns

*Enjoying the fantastic sense of humor of so many people at Paradise Lutheran Church who make him laugh and keep him going
