Seeing is believing.  I want to see some proof.  Show me the evidence.  Where’s the data?
What do the results say?  I need to see it with my own two eyes.

Many good things come from “seeing is believing”:

*Advances in medical science.

*A justice system that works better when there’s solid evidence.

*Relationships. We get along better when there is demonstration, over and over again, of love.

Seeing is believing. When I see signs that you love me, it’s easier to believe that you love me.

On the other hand, there are some things that must be believed in order to be seen. The Risen Lord interrogated Thomas, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.” Believing leads to seeing.

Believing in the resurrection makes it possible to see resurrection happen in the world.

I believe that Christ can transform lives. Then I see it happen.

I believe that forgiveness is the best way to live. Then I see forgiveness lead to healing.

I believe in caring for people even when they are illogical, unreasonable, and nasty. Then I see hardened hearts melt.

Believing leads to seeing,
